Renewal 2017

February 2017

Dear Trident Members,

Welcome to another exciting summer at Trident Swim and Tennis Club! We look forward to building upon last year’s success. We continue to work to make Trident a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone!

Management

As the 2017 Swim and Tennis Season draws near, we are already preparing the club for another season. We are thrilled that Mark Freeman returns as our Pool Manager and Head Swim Team Coach. We are also grateful to have Jim Hersh return as our Operations Manager. Mark and Jim combine to make the pool run smoothly and efficiently; we could not be happier that they are both returning.

We continue to focus on improving the pool, tennis courts, club house and grounds so that we can operate as one of the premier swim clubs in the area.

2017 Board

We have an entirely new board this season but our focus on Trident’s success has not changed. We are always open to input, and we welcome volunteers! We can be reached at: board@tridentswimtennis.com

  • President: Mandy Lovett
  • Vice President: Mike DiComes
  • Treasurer: Beth Spellacy
  • Membership: Theresa Hudak
  • Swim Team: Jennifer Peters
  • Tennis: Steve Seiler
  • Secretary: Molly Graver
  • Grounds and Maintenance: Pete Cheplick

Events and News

As an added benefit for members this year, Mark and his staff plan to offer learn-to-swim lessons for two one-week sessions in the early summer. These lessons are free to members. More information on this to come.

In addition, our newly formed social committee plans to continue the Member Socials, Ladies’ Night, Float Night, Cornhole Tournament, and more! Interested in helping? Let us know! New ideas for events? Let us know! We are also working on updating the website, and will continue to use email and the clubhouse bulletin board to communicate events. Also, please follow us on Facebook for updates! Please stay tuned for information about Tennis and the Swim and Dive Team as well.

Dues and Renewal Form

The 2017 Membership Dues are $500.00 and Senior Membership will be $300.00. Dues must be paid by April 1.

Any dues received after April 1 but before May 26 will be subject to a $25.00
premium ($525.00 total).

Dues received after May 26 will be subject to a $50.00 premium ($550.00 total).

We are offering a payment plan this year. If you prefer to pay monthly, you may pay 3
installments of $175 each. Your payments must be made by March 1, April 1, and May 1. Please note on your renewal form if you are using this option.

We are also offering any new member the opportunity either to pay the season’s dues and bond in one lump payment ($500 dues/$500 bond), or the ability to pay over six months ($175 per month). We will once again have an incentive program for recruiting new members: you will receive $100 for each new membership you bring to the pool. If the new member opts for the six-month payment plan, however, you will receive your $100 incentive when the new member has fully paid their dues/bond.

Please complete the online renewal form at signup.tridentswimtennis.com

Additionally, Trident has made many necessary upgrades to the pool in the past few years, including new filters, pumps, and a pool cover; and there are several significant capital improvements, including repair of the diving board and repaving the tennis courts, that need to be made in the near future. Operating and vendor costs also have increased. In an effort to prevent an increase to yearly dues, we are looking for alternative methods of fundraising. If you are interested in contributing towards these improvements or leading a fundraising campaign, please let us know by indicating on your membership form.

There are two ways to pay:

(1) You may mail your payment to:

Theresa Hudak
28 West Greenleaf Street
Emmaus, PA 18049

(2) You may pay online at: payment.tridentswimtennis.com

Please note: there is a 3% processing fee for online payments that is automatically added on the website. The website will also automatically increase the amount due after April 1. Please get your payments in on time to avoid the increase.

If you are not planning to renew your membership this year, please notify Theresa Hudak in writing by April 1st. Your bond will be returned as new members are admitted per the club policy.

An explanation of bond reimbursement requirements, senior memberships, guest fees and policies are all found on the website.

We look forward to another successful and enjoyable summer.

Sincerely,
Trident Board of Directors
